AI use statement
Last updated October 2026
At Nervous Satellite Games, we know AI tools raise real concerns, including how they're trained, whether creators consented to that training, and what they mean for the livelihoods of artists, writers, and performers. We also believe these tools can help a small studio like ours work more efficiently. We want to be open about exactly where we use them in our games and apps, and where we don't.
Where we use AI
- Research
- Exploring ideas
- Game and level design, developed with AI and refined and approved by our team
- Draft text, including story and dialogue, which is rewritten and edited by our team
- Writing code, which our team reviews, tests, and is responsible for
- Developing testing procedures
Where we don't use AI
- Artwork and visual assets
- Sound effects and music
- Voice acting
During development, we may use AI-generated placeholder art as a temporary stand-in. All placeholder art is replaced with human-created work before release.
All art, sound, music, and performance in our games and apps is made by people, and people make every final creative decision. This applies to our marketing and store materials as well. Our games do not generate content with AI during play.
Working with creatives
We work directly and fairly with human artists, writers, musicians, and performers whenever possible, and we plan to bring professional writers onto our projects as the studio grows. When we use licensed or third-party assets, we carefully vet them to make sure they meet these standards.
Your data
We do not use player or user data to train AI models. See our privacy policy for more.
Changes
This statement will evolve as our studio and the tools around us change. When it does, we'll update it here and change the date at the top.
